Cultural Festival

On Saturday we went to Rocket Park to do Owairaka cultural festival performance.
I was in Kapa Haka group.
It was a fun day and it was also a little bit sad because it was my last performance at Rocket Park until I have to go to intermediate.
I think That the Kapa Haka did well and I also lost my voice after doing the  Haka.

This is My poster. Its about saving the planet and not dumping rubbish in the sea. One thing you should never do is put rubbish in the sea and dont litter. To keep our planet safe. Put rubbish in the right bins.

The Deep

I'm on a huge boat traveling through the dark sea. All I can see is a whole lot of fish and dolphins. The dolphins were playing around jumping and everything. I see big splashes of water going SSSPSHHHHHH. I get a whole bunch of water on myself and all the members on the boat to.
I see a big mouth coming out of the water. "IT LOOKS LIKE A HUMONGOUS WHALE SHARK"
I say. We go diving and we go towards it. I see its mouth open and its like opening the largest door ever. We look at the top of the whale and then we go to the mouth and we all talk about if we should go inside and take a photo or we should leave it. We all say we should go inside. We go inside the mouth and we take heaps of photos. It was so Dark down here and The members wanted to leave. We go back to the boat with the pictures and we sail away to the Light. THE END.

The Great Drain Game

Today we went to the "The Great Drain Game" Try saying that fast it's like saying a tongue twister. The Great Drain Game is a thing that tells you about heaps of stuff about the drains and about how to keep our earth safe. Its also about teaching kids about polution. So here are 3 activites we did at the Great Drain Game.

1.  We did VR. VR was fun because I got to see the deep sea  and we got to see bunches of fish and some other stuff. Well we played in the background it was telling us facts about different beaches and how poluted they were. I could hear a Whale in the background but it was a very faint noise. VR was my favorite because you actually get to see the things they are talking about and a a whole 360 view.  

     

 2. We did Wet Lands. Wet Lands is a thing were you can learn about different birds and what there   bread is and also what there native Maori names are. Wet lands was boring at first but then when we   moved on we saw this filter thing. The teacher of the drain game put yucky water in that had mud   and everything inside of it. She put it in the filter and I saw normal water coming out. It wasn't     perfect water but its still creative. 

3. We went to the van and we did this thing with different bottles filled with different things.

We had to put the bottle next to whatever you should put the thing that's inside the bottle in.

I got detergent and i had to put it next to either a sink or a bin and a toilet. Mason, Lucas, Sarah, Rowena, Tamati, Rutva, Tasfia, and I all did different bottles. And put it next to different things. Then we had to spray the hose inside the sink and two pipes were there and we had to see what pipe the water would go to.

Athletics Post

On Tuesday we went to athletics. First we went to Long Jump. Long Jump was pretty fun because you get better at jumping and also its very competitive. I've also done High Jump. It was fun because it also helps your jumping and also you you have to get higher and higher and you have to jump over a big pole and as you do so it gets higher and higher. I'm not sure what I came in high jump but it was my favorite. Then we did discus I threw it pretty far but didn't get in to the Mt Eden. Discus was cool because We get to throw a disc and you get better scores and makes you throw even further. We did                                                                 running I did the whole track 2 times!! It was so tiring and I almost                                                                                        passed out on the way. 

My Owairaka School Member chart For Favorite Sports

These are Graphs I made on a spreadsheet.
I went around the school with my Math Book and Asked Owairaka School Members what their Favorite sport was. I thought that rugby was going to win but then I went on the field and everyone Voted Soccer. It was Kind of easy but getting the colour and everything was a little hard.
